Writing Tips
the secret to good writing isn't good writing...
... it's good revising.
But you need to start somewhere. Once you've got your ideas, get to it.
I usually get best results whenever I just start writing. It's usually only after I slough throught that painful but necessary first draft that I can really identify exactly what I'm writing about. That core idea is precious and necessary to any good writing. But to make that idea sparkle and shine, you may need to break it away from most, perhaps all, of your earlier writing.
So, take your writing seriously, but don't get too attached. Most of it will be gone by the time we're through revising.
