This way to the great egress

We raced our way down Cadillac Mountain so we could catch a ranger walk through the tidal estuary at Ship Harbor. Getting there 45 minutes late, we practically ran the trail trying to find the group, but we had to stop at the estuary itself because it was so captivating (and the point of the walk after all). This is a heron or egret fishing at low tide.

As it turns out, the tour was the day before, and I had forgotten what day it was. But I was glad we made trip out to Ship Harbor.
