This latest version is from Jenks -- I have not had the opportunity to test it yet, but trust that works fine. This is a very substantial set of changes, and after we playtest (and I add in a few Python and SDK mods I've been planning), I think we can release as version 0.149
Please playtest this as you are able!
- s%3_leader comment on the startup page now correctly displays leader name
- Monolith geoscan now reports a 'geoscan of the surrounding area'
- zeppelin changed to 2 movement
- removed zeppelin's +25% bonus vs animals
- probe unit cost reduced from 15 to 10 (zeppelin is still 20)
- pulse dampener no longer has two 100% bonuses (attack and defense vs pulses), just one 100% bonus vs native units
- removed all redundant promotions
- removed all references to redundant wolf unit (lots!)
- added full new promotions system as seen in discussion forum
- changed combat I-V names to a bit more SMAC :)
- added species promotions for borg/cyeneid/mutagen/pureblood
(anyone recognise where i ripped the pics :p) - *there is a pink blob bug with the pics and we need new gfx
- some work on making the leaders traits actually work
